BWCP

The Bliss Women and Children Project is a Christian nonprofit Organization whose main focus is supporting poor women and children , displaced ,widows destitute, abandoned and those who face the challenge of HIV/AIDS epidemic. We deal primarily with women and children. We offer aid and help with basics ie food, shelter clothing among other needful in life is education , for women ,small scale businesses.

The Centre was founded under the leadership of Esther W. Githaiga in the year 2004 and from that time we have granted a good relationship with women and children and families we work with.

HOW WE WORK;

Our community based project has identified areas where we can contribute effectively. The following is only a partial list of useful skills areas of assistants.

Healthcare, nutrition, education, sanitation, hygiene, training, literacy, non-formal education health education , conservation, community development, income generation activities, skill/vocational training, computer skills, sports training, nursery care, children care and arts and crafts.

We are ministering to these poorest of poor through relief

education, feeding programs, training, literacy, health and

social care programs. These are acts that restore their

dignity and relieve human suffering.

This Project was founded in December 2004 and

registered as a CBO (Community Based Organization)

With the Ministry of Gender, Sports, Culture and SocialService.

At the Department of Social Services in Nakuru District.the

first child was taken in the year 2004 when the parents succubeb to AIDS

The home caters for

30 children. The children are aged 1 to 15 years.

OBJECTIVE

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

TO RESCUE ,REHABILITATE,RE-INTEGRATE

The project is geared to quality recreation , education and promote poor

and orphan children to become equipped for the future with achievable goals

and life objectives.

Objectives

i) To enhance children survival and development through programmes

that will ensure securing of Basic needs namely education, food shelter and

help protect children rights

ii) To provide material, medical and counseling care to the children

iii) To offer education to the poor children who do not attend school.

iv) To help reduce and eliminate the problem of drugs abuse, HIV/AIDS

and other related needs.

v) To create awareness to youth and children on the dangers and effects

of the abuse of drugs and illicit substance.

vi) To habilitate the drug addicted street children and youth

vii) To collaborate with other agencies who are committed to similar

objectives

viii) To attach strong organization or individual to every child we work

with so that we can constantly help (inclusive the displaced)

ix) To make follow-ups and referrals to cases of drug abuse, HIV/AIDS

and other related needs.

x) To create awareness to youth and children on the danger and effects

of the abuse of drugs and illicit substance.

xi) To habilitate the drug addicted street children and youths.

xii) To collaborate with other agencies who are committed to similar

objectives
